It regulates basic working conditions for the manual workers in the construction industry who fall within its scope.<\/p>\n  <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n<section id=\"bedeutung\">\n  <h2>What is the BRTV?<\/h2>\n\n  <p>The BRTV is a Collective agreement for the construction industry. It sets out key framework conditions for employment relationships and contains provisions on various matters relating to work and pay.<\/p>\n\n  <p>Areas regulated by the BRTV include, among others:<\/p>\n\n  <ul>\n    <li>Working hours<\/li>\n    <li>pay and certain allowances<\/li>\n    <li>Travel expenses, subsistence allowance and accommodation<\/li>\n    <li>Holiday<\/li>\n    <li>Termination of employment<\/li>\n    <li>certain other working conditions in the construction industry<\/li>\n  <\/ul>\n<\/section>\n\n<section id=\"geltungsbereich\">\n  <h2>The BRTV applies to whom?<\/h2>\n\n  <p>The BRTV contains a spatial, operational and personal scope. Spatially, it extends to the territory of the Federal Republic of Germany.<\/p>\n\n  <p>Whether a business is covered by the BRTV depends in particular on the operational activities and delineations described in Collective agreement. The personal scope of application relates in particular to the manual workers covered by Collective agreement.<\/p>\n\n  <p>Simply describing a company as a construction company is therefore not sufficient on its own to conclusively determine its classification under a collective agreement.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n\n<section id=\"abgrenzung\">\n  <h2>BRTV and VTV \u2013 what is the difference?<\/h2>\n\n  <p>The BRTV and the <a href=\"\/en\/glossary\/vtv-tariff-agreement\/\">VTV<\/a> are different collective bargaining agreements in the construction industry.<\/p>\n\n  <p>The <strong>BRTV<\/strong> particularly regulates basic working conditions. The <strong>VTV<\/strong> in contrast, concerns the proceedings of the social funds of the construction industry.
