Seasonal short-time allowance<\/strong> is a special form of Kurzarbeitergeld for employees in certain construction sector companies during inclement weather. The seasonal short-time work allowance scheme, on the other hand, is specifically designed to cover loss of working hours during periods of bad weather in the sectors designated for this purpose.<\/p>\n\n

The seasonal short-time work allowance scheme is to be distinguished from supplementary benefits under the Winter Employment Support scheme. These include, in particular, the winter allowance, the additional expenses allowance and, under certain conditions, the reimbursement of social security contributions.<\/p>\n\n

The financing of certain complementary services is connected to the Winter Employment Surcharge<\/a>. Therefore, seasonal short-time work allowance (Saison-KUG) and supplementary winter benefits are not the same thing.<\/p>\n<\/section>\n\n
